I m happy and proud to announce my new magazine. The first issue will be available in September but I wanted you to know it was coming. I am creating this informative, entertaining, moving and inspiring magazine to raise money for animal shelters and rescue organizations. Please take a moment to read this post as it explains the purpose and mission of FOR PETS’ SAKE. xoxo.
As many of you know I produced and published RescueMe, a book to raise money for animal shelters and rescue groups. The book sold out and, thanks to all who bought it, I was able to give 100% of the proceeds ($25,000+) to these organizations. To be clear, I didn’t take a penny from the sales and that means I didn’t even pay myself back for the cost of producing, printing and marketing the book.
Giving all the money away to help the animals was the best thing I ever did.
My plan was to do a second book but like for so many of us the virus has majorly impacted my life and work and, in the process, my financial resources.
However, I still wanted to do something to help our furry friends and that’s how the idea for a magazine came to be. Though I would have loved to do a print publication the cost of printing and distribution is prohibitive. But a digital version was not completely out of reach. This is why I came up with FOR PETS’ SAKE.
Each issue will be $7.00 but 20% will be donated to animal charities. Believe me when I say that the remaining balance will not even come close to covering my costs unless I can get many orders. This is why I need you to please purchase the issue when it becomes available in September and also ask your animal lover friends to buy it AND help spread the word.
The first issue is already in the works and will be available by the end of September, if not sooner. I know you need to know more about it, which is why I am showing you the actual cover, my editor’s letter and the table of contents (but I will be adding more features).
You won’t have to pay for a year’s subscription in advance, only one issue at a time (right now I plan on either 4 or 6 issue per year).
You will be able to buy the magazine when it goes live on my website. I will announce it on social media.

The table of contents will be as shown below but will actually have additional features. I believe the issue will end up having closer to 80 pages so look for lots of cool stories including YOUR own pets in the section titled “YOU COMPLETE ME”.
When the time comes, if ALL my FB FRIENDS and IG FOLLOWERS (or even ONLY HALF of them) would buy the issue I would then be able to give much much more $$$ to the animals.
